Why FS Group
Most drain faults stay hidden until something backs up. A camera survey finds them early. Hertfordshire has two kinds of drains. Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage were built as planned towns, with long shared runs behind the houses. St Albans, Hitchin and Hertford have much older streets, where clay pipes have had a century to crack. We film either kind and show you what we find.

What we see most
In Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City, one pipe can serve a whole row. The camera shows which stretch is at fault.
Victorian houses in St Albans and Hertford still drain through clay. Its joints open up as the mortar breaks down.
Mature trees in Harpenden and Berkhamsted gardens push roots into the smallest gap. The footage shows how far in they go.
Grease from kitchens builds a crust inside the pipe, and scale lines it too. The camera shows how much bore is left.
A crack can sit for years before a pipe gives way. Spotting it early means a small repair instead of a dig.
